If you are calling for appointments, referrals, forms, refills, medical records or anything requiring attention from a staff member (Teri, Kirra, Suzie, Ellie, Celestine), please call during regular office hours ONLY.
For your information, our regular office hours are M-F 9A-4:30P and SAT 8A-11A.
After hours, there is no answering service and our doctors ONLY take emergency calls. Please refrain from leaving a message to speak with a staff member during this time.
When our doctors are not on call, you will be immediately connected to Dr. Rommer's answering service and he will take your emergency calls.

About Insurance Companies
Please select Dr. Frankel or Dr. Nalitt as your primary care physician
Insurance
Companies will not pay for your visit if we are not your primary
care physician. You must call member services
to select either:

Dr. Beth Nalitt as your MD
Insurance Card
You will not be seen without a valid up-to-date insurance card - Please present
ALL insurance cards at time of service!
Medical Tests
Please go for all your tests -- we will call you with all results
whether normal or abnormal. If you do not hear from us about tests you have
taken within one week, please all our office to notify us so we can track
down the results for you.
Do not call us for results that were not ordered by our MDs.
Medications
Please bring all medications being taken to all office visits.
Prescriptions
Prescriptions are now done via E-Script an electronic prescribing tool via Relay
Health. We are no longer writing, mailing, or faxing prescriptions. Mail away programs for drugs are also done electronically. This benefits patients greatly! Easier!!!.

There will be a $15.00 charge for all forms not associated with an office visit.
We only see patients over the age of 16 (Dr. Frankel: age 18)
We will not see patients without scheduled appointments
We cannot refill medications at night or on weekends
New Patients
If you are a new patient to us, please bring your medical records from
your previous doctors.
Policy on Hospital Admissions
If you need hospital care,
we will refer you to a group of hospitalists, physicians who specialize in
treating hospitalized patients. At Saint
Barnabas Hospital we use, IPC Associates
At least one member
of the group is on duty in the hospital at all times. We give them
information about your past medical history and current problem and they
give us progress reports while you are under their care and a summary of
your course after they send you home.
Please call us
if you need help reaching any of the doctors who treat you during your
hospital stay. You can reach them through the hospitalist answering service
at 973 867 6565.
We suggest you
make an appointment to see us soon after discharge so that we can resume
your outpatient medical care. Please bring all your medications including
those given you on discharge to your visit with us.
IPC Associates will bill
your insurance company for their services while you are in the hospital. They
participate with all major health plans. They
will bill you personally for any required co-payment. They
also will accept out of network benefits for any insurance company that
does not include them in the network. Call 973 867 6565
